Keep history for a set time
Maclip can limit history by count, by age, or both. Whichever limit is reached first removes older clips for good.

Set the limits
- Open Settings and choose the History tab.
- Under History Management, drag the slider to keep from 100 clips to unlimited.
- Set Keep History For to 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or Unlimited.
- Pinned clips are never removed by either limit.
- Clips on a board are kept by both limits while the board's Keep Clips Forever option is on, which it is by default. Turn it off from the board's ••• menu.
- A clip's age counts from the last time you copied it.
- Removed clips are deleted for good, not moved to the Trash.
To erase everything copied in one app sooner, add an app rule with Erase clips after.
