Sensitive clips stay hidden until you click

When Maclip spots a password, an API key, a token, a 2FA code, or a clip from an app you keep private, it hides it everywhere it's listed: the ⌘⇧V panel, the menu bar, the dashboard and its preview.

Show, paste and hide

  • A hidden clip shows as a row of dots. Click Show next to it to see it.
  • You can paste a hidden clip without showing it: select it and press ↵.
  • Shown clips hide again when you close the dashboard or your Mac locks.
  • Turn hiding off in Settings → Privacy → Hide Sensitive Clips.
