Exclude apps and pause capture

Some apps should never end up in your history. You can exclude them permanently, or pause everything for a while.

Never record an app

  1. Open Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Under Ignored Applications, click Add App….
  3. Pick the app from the list, or use Finder… to choose one that isn't listed.

Anything copied in an ignored app is never saved.

Pause for a while: Incognito Mode

Press ⇧⌥I, or choose Incognito Mode from the menu bar icon's menu, to pause capture for 15 minutes. From the dashboard you can also pause for an hour, until tomorrow, or until you turn it back on.

While it is on, the menu reads Incognito Active — Resume Capture. Choose it to start recording again early.
