Terms of Service

A Maclip licence is a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal or commercial work. It is not a sale of the software itself.

One licence covers up to 2 Macs that you own or control. If you activate a third Mac, the licence is released from your least recently activated Mac automatically, and that Mac is notified the next time it checks in.

Maclip includes a 3-day trial with full functionality and no payment details required. When the trial ends, clipboard capture pauses, but your existing clips remain readable, searchable and exportable — we do not hold your data hostage.

• Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app or your key.
• Share a licence key beyond the permitted device count.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent the licensing system, except where that right cannot be lawfully restricted.

A lifetime licence includes updates to Maclip at no additional charge, delivered in-app through Sparkle, the standard macOS update framework.

We may release a materially different product in future as a separate paid application; that is not covered by an existing licence. We will not move a feature you already paid for behind a new purchase.

Maclip is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Maclip is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Maclip is a convenience tool, not a backup system — keep your own copies of anything important.

We may revoke a licence obtained fraudulently, subject to an unauthorized chargeback, or used in breach of these terms. All sales are final following the 3-day free trial, as set forth in our Refund Policy.
