An AI app can't reach Maclip
The AI app starts Maclip's MCP bridge, which asks the running app, which asks you. Here is how to find where that chain stops.

Check these in order
- AI access is off. Requests are declined until you switch on Let AI apps ask to search your clipboard in AI Tools.
- The app wasn't restarted. Claude and Cursor only read their MCP settings at launch. Quit and reopen them.
- Maclip moved. The settings point at Maclip's exact location. If you moved the app, click Add to Claude or Add to Cursor again, or run the Claude Code command again.
- The prompt timed out. A request you don't answer within 60 seconds is declined. Check AI Tools → Activity.
- Your trial has ended. AI access needs an active trial or licence.
Every request that reaches Maclip appears under AI Tools → Activity with its outcome. If nothing appears there, the AI app isn't reaching Maclip at all; recheck its settings. Set-up steps for each app.
